where can i buy the ticket to go on board boat to see the whales? I hope to buy it on the spot near the harbour as i am there for a day only in mid May. Thanks.

Yes, do buy in advance. There are many graduations in May so it could be busy. Long wharf is easy to find. They have really good signage. You will have a great time. It a really pretty harbor too.
