One option would be to park outside the city and take the commuter ferry.

Google parking garages there is a lot and they're all expensive

We were there only for the day and paid $28.00.

We parked at one near the IMAX at Boston Harbor. We'd gotten a discount of some sort, but good grief, that garage was something like 48 bucks, originally? For over 20 minutes or something crazy like that. We were able to find someone to validate using a coupon or Groupon, and I think we paid 10.00. We were only there for the day, so I don't know about weekly costs. Not a Bostonian.
