Omg i just went threw this. Please take the top part of the title to the DMV. I almost got charged $4.500 because the person i sold a car to never registered it so when he hit someone it came back to me. I will never make that mistake again, please go tell DMV🤗

Go with buyer to dmv to title in their name. Takes all liability off of you.

You give the buyer the part of the title that says what you sold if for and what not and then you take the smaller section off and go turn it into the dmv that lets them know you no longer have possession of the vehicle
