Does riverside community hospital provide private rooms after delivering baby? What was your experience delivering here? Do they place baby on your chest right out the womb?

You have the possibility to get a private room after delivery if there aren't many women delivering, but they always pair you up with a woman who's about to be discharged so you have some sort of privacy. My labor and delivery was smooth, fast and amazing but I had the head nurse and the best OBGYN(Dr. Darcy Bryan). You have to talk to your doctor before labor if you want delayed cord cutting or skin to skin before clean up, but rch policy is skin to skin and breastfeeding. It's more important to talk to your doctor before your due date about what you want and the nurses when you get to the hospital. Also don't over burden the nurses with a birth plan, they aren't going to read it and it'll just get tossed out the window.

You share a room with someone.Sometimes there two others in the same room,and yes they leave your baby with you. If you have Medi-Cal you can go to Kaiser and at Kaiser you have your own room.
