Do you recycle old batteries and fluorescent lights?

Pretty sure flourecent lights and CFL lights have to go to hazardous waste drop off at couny dump becaue of mercury and hevy metals.

I saw the fluorescent bulb bins at Lowe's, but you'd have to call Friedman's to be sure they take them also.

I have seen battery bins at Friedman's but I'm not sure about fluorescent lights.
