Details Landscape Art recently finished a landscaping project at my house, which included about 300 plants, a stamped concrete patio, path and patio lighting, and a fence. The finished product is spectacular. Scott Bradley and his expert crew were a total delight to work with. Scott was involved hands on in every moment of the work. He personally took pride and pleasure in every phase. His enthusiasm was noteworthy. He routinely discussed design issues with me and incorporated my preferences into the work. The entire experience was highly positive.

My husband and I so enjoyed working with Scott and his team to replace our retaining wall and completely refresh our hillside garden. Having full sun and full shade and a steep slope made for a challenging project. Scott was always available and completely engaged in developing the plan, executing the project, supervising the installation and providing all the information we needed to achieve our desired result. Scott provided helpful references and took all necessary steps to ensure our satisfaction. We highly recommend him.

Our experience with Details Landscape Art was great. Scott to the time to listen to our concerns and come up with a beautiful plan for our home. I would highly recommend Details to anyone who is looking to make their yard (front or back) a living art to enjoy everyday.

My husband and I came across Details Landscape Art through their website and contacted them about helping us with our front yard. Scott came out and met with us and we discussed our needs and budget. He took into consideration our busy lifestyle and need for a low maintenance yard and made both plant and layout suggestions that would give us the look we wanted while being something we could maintain easily. He prepared a design for us and after approval, the crew arrived shortly thereafter. The process went fairly quickly and Scott's crew was friendly and on time every day. It has been several years now and our yard has matured into a beautiful garden. We are very pleased with the results and highly recommend Scott and Details Landscape Art to all of our friends.

Our website is amazing, with photos and interesting text. Once we get people to visit the website, we usually get the job!
Nice people, who recognize that we are good at what we do and permit us to 'do our thing'!

We recommend fertilizing monthly during the growing season (April through October) for the first two years. Thereafter, twice a year is sufficient.

We are licensed landscape contractors (Lic. No. 659634). Were are bonded and carry workers compensation and liability insurance as well as vehicle insurance.
We are a design-build landscape contractor. We are NOT landscape architects, and we offer a once yearly winter pruning service only to clients whose gardens we have installed.
Old style 'outdoor carpeting' is thirsty, requires weeding, feeding, mowing edging. It is the highest water-use plant!
Unless it's an extremely windy location, we use one stake only. Minimal staking encourages the tree to build its own muscle.
Our two favorite full shade plants are sarcococca ruscifolia an extremely fragrant winter bloomer, and aucuba japonica, a yellow-speckled evergreen that brightens up shady areas.
We usually install a two inch layer of base rock which acts as a shock absorber. We then add a grid of rebar to minimize the enlarging of any hairline cracks, and then cut score marks or expansion joints to encourage the concrete to crack where we want it to crack (down in the joints).
Add aluminum sulfate when new flower buds appear in spring (not leaf buds). This changes the Ph of the soil.
Very early morning when it's calm. The sprinkler spray pattern won't be affected by wind.
Hold the trimmer so the trimmer cuts vertically at thew edging. The grass should stick up like brush bristles.
There are two meanings: first, gardens to fit your lifestyle. Second, gardens to last a lifetime.

Really any time of year except extreme heat. Cool weather is great since plants retain water.
