The river is too swift.
No safe swimming. If you want good camping with a very clean and safe swimming hole, go Alfred e. Loeb state park up the north bank of the chetco river in Brookings Oregon. Out of the fog into the sun.
No safe swimming here. Emigrant lake outside of Ashland is great, as well as Applegate & Lost Creek lakes.
Lake options are almost always safer than Rivers. As a former lifeguard you need to always be aware of currents and changing conditions with rivers. Although dangers still exist with lakes the conditions change less often. A great camping site with good swimming if you're near Klamath Falls is Fish Lake. They have full RV options as well as cabins.
I was only at the rest stop area with my dog. The river looked dangerous for little one's when I passed by it.
Lost lake is your best place for children, the river has lava tubes that cause swift currents and can pull you under. Please be careful and have a great weekend.
Lake option is a safer bet, spots to put your feet in at the Rogue. If you're not very familiar with the Rogue I wouldn't let my children swim in it. Lost creek has great hook ups and a designated swimming area.
Lake option is so much better
Unknown. Was only at the rest area.
