I wouldn't recommend any child under the age of 12 depending on there scare tolerance level. If they're under the age of 8-9 than teach them about real and not real or call a babysitter or not go. Unless you want to deal with them sleeping with you, nightmares, late night waking up to crying, and (most likely) wetting the bed.
