No, but you should get one unless you dont mind waiting.
Set reservation if you want a private party, but if you dont mind throwing with others you can walk in depends on group. We where a group of 6 so we just went with another group and had a great time
The wait can be long if you don't have a reservation. Also, you may be paired with other people not in your party if you don't reserve in advance. That cuts down on throwing time.
