I know you asked about having one eye done, I can't speak to having just one done. I had both eyes done there 11 days ago and the results are amazing. I highly recommend them.

Yes, monovision is a very popular option. Most people have success with monovision when they trial it in a contact lens. Monovision is essentially treating both eyes for distance, but purposely leaving one eye undercorrected. It is usually your non-dominant eye (pretend you are taking a picture or shooting a gun, the eye you naturally close is the non-dominant eye...your brain automatically knows which eye is better for distance, so keeps that one open). Some people, particularly those with small prescriptions, would have only one eye corrected. Explaining monovision is very diferent than "seeing" it for yourself, as you may not actually be able to adapt. Schedule your free comprehensive evaluaton at www.ClearAdvantageLaser.com or by calling 603-501-5000. Demonstrating monovision is what we do for everyone over 40 considering LASIK.
