Always ask if you can get a AAA, NRA, student, or senior discount (if you qualify) everywhere - airlines, hotels, car rentals, movie theaters, restaurants, book stores, shoe stores, etc. I got a 10% AAA member discount at a shoe store just by asking. It helped pay the exhorbitant Commie sales tax in the Demicratic People's Republic of California, which is hastily heading in the direction of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK, or North Korea). The NRA has at least 5 million dues paying members, so it can get negotiate good business discounts. Likewise for other large membership organizations. Check if your employer has negotiated discounts for its employees, especially if it is a large employer.
