No, there are no free parking spots in DTLA. There are 3 paid lots in the immediate area.
We are there recently (last Saturday August 25th) to watch the live taping for JFL and the CW's first collab starring Howie Mandel and Friends. Fantastic show, staff, bathroom facilities and a beautiful theatre where there's honestly not a bad seat in the house. As someone mentioned earlier, they're isn't free parking but get there early and there's plenty of street parking and some parking decks. Either way, definitely worth it if you're looking for a night out with tons of nearby eateries with a wide range of price points and cuisines within walking distance!
