I think that you can stay at the nearby hotels near the airport for 3 days, but you can not stay inside the airport itself for 3 days.

I would look on ECR/el camino real, old famous original path,,, and I would stay at one of hundreds of cheap/reasonable motels all up and down ECR with cheap frequent samtrans buses to SF or down peninsula exploring,,, good Italian in B-game, etc. I would stay at remodeled motel on SE corner of Millbrae X ECR, and eat Chinese at the Kitchen, $ if your Asian, or Cheng, c and next door. That is what I would do!
