You should get to the air port a least 2hr before departure... It should give you enough time to check-in if you haven't done so online, drop your luggage at the counter if you have any, go through security and still relax for a few minuites before your flight...
I think 2hrs is recommended in case of an issue, however a quick call to your airline will give you an exact time
I usually give myself an hour and a half. It has been plenty of times for most flights and tight for a few depending on security. Also, check cutoff times for bag check for your airline. I travel light and usually do not check luggage. You may need a bit more time to check bags if you have them.
