Frosty hollow B&B is right down the road and Paterson park is about 4 miles north of Cherry springs on 44

There is a nice B&B called Sleeping Hollow. Very close to the park and really nice place. If all camp sites are booked, try this place. We loved it.

No. You don't have to reserve in advance. It's a very good idea to do it though. I was there around the new moon at the beginning of July and the campground was at capacity every night. Regardless, there are a few other campgrounds nearby if you show up and there are no other sites available.

Not necessarily. You can pre pay and select a spot if you know your dates. Weekends you should reserve. But there's also a drive up option. You can take an open spot to camp and put your payment in the welcome hut. It's a long drive, I don't see why you would want to risk it being full on a nice summer weekend.
