Hi everyone. Is mid april a good time to visit for star gazing? I mean is there lots of snow and/or freezing cold like we still get in part of canada?

It would seem to depend on how the planet aligns with that season best determining which system of stars are available...still in any event it was a perfect time when we went in November...chilly clear and full of stars...best time of season to go

Weather-wise it's a roll of the dice. Mid-April is the opening of trout season in Pennsylvania and we have a camp 5 miles from Cherry Springs. Over the past 45 years the weather has run the gamut from feet of snow on the ground to sunny and 70°. If you want a better shot at consistent weather, it's best to wait until late May or early June. Enjoy!

Mid april can be very cold, and sometimes there is snow. If not, it'll most likely be raining. I suggest later spring.
