If you have a valid guard card registration, you will only pay $364 to the Academy for the training, test materials, live scan, and certification, and $100 to the Bureau for state fees. You schedule an appointment complete the training take the written test after watching a video and that's it. Cost me 192$ but I wouldn't recommend you even attempt to get it if you have any serious felonies on your record because you have to go through a background check process which occurs in Sacramento and if anything serious is found they'll deny you your card and you dont get your money back.
Just show up with your ID Fill out some paperwork for a background check take a test the same day its easy I believe I pay $135 + 50 to the state Multiple choice questions for the test
