You dont have to be an overnight guest. Howevver, you will need to know someone that is staying overnight to purchase a guest pass, which is an additional $50 per guest. This is in the Orange County location. Other locations will probably be a different rate.
You don't have to...you at least need to know someone who is staying there. They have guest passes for friends of people who have a room at the hotel
