There are several hands on, which is great for learning experiences. There is water play experiences which is also great but especially during summer; however, take along towels and extra clothing for change since children love water! There are areas of science fun because of the hands on, building huge blocks, jump, run, play and climbing that is offered by the museum. Your children will definitely be tired at the end of the day and you will too. Active play areas and hands on areas, which usually is combined is really good for children to experience and socialize. Also, the scientific community involvement within helps young ones with their learning abilities. They can think and discover. Encourage your children to point out what they see, sense, hear and believe. Have them draw and discuss their favorite thing about the museum. Accept THEIR drawing and acknowledge their experiences and feelings. This also helps them with expression. Discuss the colors and shapes too! Count!

Its mainly for children. It offers them the opportunity to explore and lesen through playing. There's science areas but also an entire area on sensory play (clay, water, mud) which is fantastic. There's also an indoor area of learning where you can do imagination play and explore different themes/areas.
