I used to work here and as wonderful as the employees working there may be the fact this store exists is awful. It is nothing but appropriation galore. I was blind when I was there. Have grown a lot since leaving. Come a long way in these past few years and made up for a lot of mistakes. And now follow lots of wise creators who have educated me on some of the cultural appropriation I was missing cause I was blinded by the joy of working in a beautiful shop. Anyone who shops here should take a step back and look at themselves and the products they are buying. A vast majority of the brands are owned by white people, or books are written by white people. Yes some of the products are imported, but sold TO white people who dont understand the full cultural significance of what they are buying and get it explained to them by people who also dont understand the full significance of them. There is not one Hindu or Native American employee in that store who is actually has a FULL understanding of what they sell. Idk if the owner realizes the appropriation going on in her shop or if she just doesnt care. A lot of the brands in that shop have been talked about by a creator I follow who points out cultural appropriation of Indian culture all the time. I feel awful for ever having worked there. They have shiny pretty things yes, but unless you are actually practicing in the Hindu culture, dont buy their statues. Also the white sage and Native American stuff they have is all from white vendors for the most part. Not cool. AND they literally sell books on recycling when the store themselves dont recycle. Just a bunch of BS all around.

They'd be perfect if they'd get that BLM sign out of their window! UGH. Politics has no place in business. They are very good to order books if they don't have them in stock. A good place, but again, leave politics out of it please!

always has such cute stuff. can be overwhelming to newcomers, but the employees don’t seem to mind if you really take your time to look at the items or thoroughly read the books to be able to make more informed purchases. i love coming here!

I've been a professional psychic healer for several decades. A friend brought me here during a recent visit to Los Angeles. I'm pretty picky and I must say it was difficult to leave. Alexandria II is the best metaphysical establishment I've found in a long time. The products and selection of books are thoughtfully curated and the staff is very courteous and helpful. Lightworkers and seasoned practitioners will find wonderful divinity tools, while anyone new to spirituality and/or metaphysics who feel called to cultivate their intuitive gifts will enjoy the wide variety of books, crystals, statuary and so much more. If the Covid-19 pandemic has opened your heart and mind to exploring beyond the physical plane, this an excellent place to begin. No matter your level of experience, I Highly recommend this rare gem to anyone on a path of self-discovery.
