I would highly recommend a reservation if they take reservations since this restaurant is very popular. However usually they provide beepers so you can stroll on the beach until your table is ready.
Over half of the restaurant is walk in .....part of the experience is strolling the beach while you wait to be seated :)
Reservations are definitely recommended, but you can get in without one...eventually!
You know you may have a wait but breakfast is usually pretty quick. If you have to wait you can look for dolphins swimming buy and enjoy the beautiful scenery.
Okay, im here to tell you, ive neen to the beachcombet several times. They dont take reservations, its first come first serve. You provide a name and id they give you a clicker/pager so you can walk the tidepools, ary gallery etc....they will page you when you're table is ready. Enjoy !
Lindsey is correct...it is hard to get a reservation. Go early before you are too hungry & tour the beach & the cottages while you wait, with your beeper. If you get too hungry, go to the bar & start with the Bloody Mary that includes a shrimp & a crab claw. Appetizer & drink all in one!
