Plenty regular type multi screen theatres around. For the best value though, I prefer AMC, you can purchase your seat in advance and not have to wait in a line. Also your seat is reserved.

Regal Short Pump, around the corner from Barnes and Noble bookstore. Seems the "real" cinemas you're looking for are branded Regal. They have a fantastic rewards program, too. ;-) HTH.
