This is a very common problem. After you have had a denture for a long time the shape of the gums can change a lot. The gums and jawbone usually shrink over time. Often times a new denture is needed, but it's hard to say without a dentist seeing you and examining your mouth. If the gums have decreased a lot, implants are often times needed to help hold the denture in place. If you'd like one of our dental offices to contact you, please let us know.
