Are there any regulations to when we receive checks? When we can expect to see them when we first start working or do they vary from job?

I hear it depends on each production company. Past experience has been 7 to 10 days. Your mileage may vary.

Their really good on paying..checks 'come in week after, sometimes sooner.. Payroll will handle any problem right away.

My understanding is that they pay each Thursday for any production you were in the previous week.

Varies per production but usually within a week. The day of the week the work is performed may also affect that timing. I've sometimes worked two days on the same show back to back and received the check for day one two or three days later, but day two's paycheck came 7-10 days later. Generally you're paid for each day individually even if it's the same show and consecutive.
