I'm assuming you're starting in Bolinas? Overall the hike is pretty basic. You'll want to keep a couple things in mind. First, it's worth it. Second, getting down to the the beach, where the falls is visible, might be a challenge. It's right at the end of the hike, from the bluff down requires some three or four-foot "steps". https://www.hikingproject.com/trail/7001402/alamere-falls-trail
Not too bad definitely make a day of it and leave early
The toughest spot on the hike is the very end getting down to the falls. Bring water. There are no bathrooms on the trail. Is absolutely gorgeous and depending on your ability could take anywhere from 1 1/2 to 5 hours
Bring water took me 5 hours to do not a rough trail.
The hike is approx 3-4 miles. We are average hikers and we did the round trip abt 6hrs with 1-1.5 hours on the falls. There are few moderately tough hike spots. But amazing views.
