I made my appointment by speaking to an apple representative in person and he asked me to fill a form out with my details n details of the service I require. He was then able of tell me a time when the technician would be available and for sure when I went back the technician was ready to help. If an appointment can be made online please come back and update. Good luck!
The best thing to do is to make an appointment because if not you will be waiting for a long time (Hours or if someone did not make it to their appointment. Make sure they check if your battery is between the defective batteries so the cost is lower.) I recommend you to do the appointment online and get the confirmation email.
