Capping nails only covers the nail, temporarily. Just have them trimmed.

I keep two of the large scratching posts and my cats use those. I don't believe in declawing either. My daughter got a declawed cat from the pound and he has a hard time in the litter box

Vapping is a platic shaped lime a nail. They are slid over cat's nails and are temporary.

It is the humane way of not declawing they can't scratch you, furniture, etc. It doesn't prevent the nails from growing you will need to recap although they use strong glue they are not permanent
