To all of the sit down service restaurants, yes you do (Carnation Cafe, Plaza Inn). There are a few restaurants that are walk up quick service (French Market, Rancho del Zócalo). All of the rest have mobile order ordering available.

Bill Martin | Dec 24, 2021

You can walk up, but you are going to have to wait

Rita “Redondo Rita” Loy | Dec 24, 2021

Yes for the better Sit Down Restaurants a Reservation is a must.

rod kehmeier | Dec 24, 2021

I would definitely suggest making reservations for any inside the park restaurants. The only "restaurant" we ate at was in Downtown Disney. Didn't make reservations ahead of time, but only had to wait about 30 minutes.

medchan | Dec 24, 2021

Yes, for several of them and you need to make the reservations well in advance. Some have no availability the day of

Steven Mack | Dec 24, 2021

Reservations are necessary at all sit down full service restaurants. You can order ahead for restaurants like pizza planet: I placed my order and paid via the Disney app, and was given a time to arrive to pick up my lunch. It was awesome didn't have to wait in long lunch lines and went to the front to pick up my lunch.

Veronica Gallegos | Dec 24, 2021

For sit down ones absolutely. Sometimes you get lucky but rarely.

Phil Christie | Dec 24, 2021

You could try day of and see if there is availability. However a reservation is required. They are hard to get. I would suggest using a web service. We use mousedining.com to secure our reservations.

David Altherr | Dec 24, 2021

Depends. If you want table service at a particular restaurant at a given time, then yes, recommend you book a reservation as early as possible, up to 60 days in advance. Can also do a walk-up list at some restaurants, but you may need to wait a while on busier days. If you're just looking for a quick meal, plenty of good Mobile Order options available; may want to place lunch or dinner orders a couple hours ahead of time.

Sonya De la Cerda | Dec 24, 2021

Yes plan on getting restaurant 90 days prior to going. Time slots open at 5am

Jp Yuen | Dec 24, 2021

Xavier Ochoa | Dec 24, 2021

Yes, highly recommend for all sit down restaurants. Some have walk up service for quick bites which you would order through the Disney app and just pick up the food at a certain time frame.

Clairisa Fraijo | Dec 24, 2021

Download the Disneyland app and order ahead so you don't have to wait.

Chase Hoitink | Dec 24, 2021

Depends on the day

Stephen D | Dec 24, 2021

You do not need reservations. Every restaurant we visited Thursday we just walked in

Michael J | Dec 24, 2021

Absolutely yes, the Disney walk restaurants are always a great substitute for getting out of the park for a little bit. And no reservations needed for those.

Denise Maciel | Dec 24, 2021

I didn't have one . I put my name down I waited for 5 minutes and my name was called. If you have a big party the restaurant will have you wait until all your party is present

Ryan OLeary | Dec 24, 2021

Yes, you will need a reservation for all in park restaurants.

Susan Williams | Dec 24, 2021

Yes is the short answer. For the really popular, sit down restaurants, reservations are required. You can also join a virtual que, or use the mobile app to order. I suggest having a second choice because all the lines are long, and reservations are hard to get. We did the Sip and Savor in California Adventure. Good variety and shorter lines.

Frank Bellipanni | Dec 24, 2021

I highly recommend it.

Tyler Nevis | Dec 24, 2021

Yes most restaurants require reservations to sit and eat. There however many Mobile order options available that you can use to grab a bite to eat. ( I recommend taking snacks in with you as well.)
