Yes, customer service will issue a guest pass i believe. It will get you in to look around. Not sure if you can purchase with it though.

You can also have someone who is a member purchase a loaded Costco gift card for you and it will allow you to shop at Costco and checkout with that gift card. They also allow the purchase of alcohol without membership.

This is all true. The customer service is by the exit. It the door way to your right when you walk in. We have found this place much nicer and more friendly than Sam's.
I believe that you need to join first to have them honor the pricing.
They can give you a pass to walk around and check the place out but you won't be able to purchase anything. They have someone checking membership cards at the entrance so you'll have to stop at the customer service desk
