The Acoustics Are Great. Side Note: The Original Design Of The Building Is Significantly Older Now, And With That Is In A Position To Accommodate A Larger Crowd. This Can Welcome Both Change And The Need To Recapture Ambient Noise. A Sound Panel That Absorbs And Reflects A Greater And Larger Sound Maybe Most Welcome.
For spoken word with a good sound system the space is not bad. I'm talking about the 4th floor auditorium that seats 1200. For a larger group with singing and instruments the space is quite challenging. it's like a giant echo chamber or cave.
As someone who has performed in this venue many times, I can confirm that the acoustics are above and beyond. Almost like an empty opera house, the atmosphere adds to the sound.
