It'll say right on the ticket "2017 season" "2018 season" etc. If you don't see this anywhere you'll be fine. And if they give you any grief, just try talking to them. You have valid tickets and should be able to redeem them.
If they are for a specific day then no. I think it's worth giving them a buzz, I know they now scan the tickets, and if they were bought online you have to use them by a certain date, and they are non-refundable.
