There is a dog run in the back of the park facing the Haight Ashbury area. Its a bit hidden, but should not be hard to find. Theres also a closed off dog park in Corona Heights nearby.

So a few corrections first, it would be 'as long as your dog is happy' running an area at BVWest and Waller but to the right, playground to the left. It's quite extensive but a bit sandy. Oh well!! Then as far as paved pants go, less words more info🤔 thanks. I'm more of an evening attendee at BVP East side by old St Joseph's hosp.
Corona heights has a dog run. Buena Vista park does not.

You know I'm not sure about that. I know people run through the park on the pants that are paved because it goes in a big circle for number of blocks really. But as far as like having a dog park area I'm not sure I don't think so though. I know there's one off Clayton Street and there's also one in Diamond Heights that they're remodeling right now and those are the only two that I know of. Sorry I couldn't be more help to you.
