Are the shops and food places open during the week in September?I know the rides are closed, but I'd just like to hang out on the beach, maybe walk around the shops and grab a bite to eat.

I tried to go this past friday and all the shops were closed. Only shops I was able to go and visit were the ones on the pier and on the street side. Hope this answer helps.
