No. You can purchase online and be a resident of anywhere. They do limit the number of wristbands sold for any specific day however.

Not at all. Tickets are purchased from a kiosk vvia cash or debit which is then downloaded on a plastic card which mis used for rides & food & games. Its reloadable as well so just keep your plastic card for future visits๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿ™

No you do not have to be a resident of Santa Cruz. I live in Merced County and was able to purchase my tickets online ahead of time which took a lot of stress of me and also made it very easy to obtain our wristbands once at the Boardwalk.
