I work here. No pets allowed. Service animals are okay. (Emotional support animals not allowed. Does not count as service animal) don't believe the people saying they are allowed because you may be asked to leave by our security. Additionally, dogs are not allowed on beaches due to the law.

TradewindsHD | Aug 21, 2019

Sadly no. Only ADA certified service dogs.

Kitsune9x | Aug 21, 2018

Yes, just make sure you have a bag to clean up any mess they make

PayneKiller75 | Aug 20, 2021

No, absolutely zero dogs allowed (other than certified and licensed service dogs). No dogs allowed on the nearby beaches, either. That no dog rule covers Main Beach 1, 2 and Cowell's Beach as well. This is also strictly enforced. No clue why a bunch of ppl are saying they are allowed, either, as its NOT the case. I've lived here my whole life (over 40 years now) and they have not allowed any pets other than certified & licensed service dogs for the last 2 decades at least. *Don't just take my word for it, either. Look on the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalks own website. It clearly says that regular pets are not allowed and why. **Edit; I've just reported all the wrong answers as "incorrect information". Hopefully their answers are deleted soon, as I can see that being an issue for tourists and visitors.

No

No, dogs aren't allowed only service animals and honestly wouldn't recommend ignoring the rules if your dog isn't trained or well socialized it can stress the dog out if it's not used to very large crowds so please be careful for your pets sake.

Hmm there are signs that say no pets

Noelle “MsBogart” Crawford-Rodgers | Aug 21, 2018

Yes! It is crowded and loud close to some rides at times though. So if your pup can handle this then absolutely bring 'em!

Amber M | Aug 21, 2018

Yes you can.

Wow...some of you people stating things like NO its the Law look at Signs.... Blah Blah....getting all big caps for answers...maybe YOU need to chillax a tad. Get a support pup yourself. Maybe you wouldn't be so high strung. You should probably lay off the caffeine intake as well to lower that blood pressure-seriously its showing in your typing. Eeek. Geeze. Okay. Pups. Dogs. Certified. Etc. I think we know the answer. No. So, let's do our little fur families a favor and instead of jeopardizing their little paws to hot sand and yummy smelling foods they probably shouldn't eat anyway, find a sitter or board them at a local pet hotel. ;-)

Michael Luna | Aug 21, 2018

Yes. Tons of people, kids and a few other dogs though.

DaRealShottaaaGilly | Apr 22, 2022

You can absolutely bring your dog just have a leash I do it and know people who do too. And to whoever said no dogs on beach is crazy there’s always dogs there.
