The 69.00 referred to by K.S. is a cash benefit that applies if you are living on the street and must be worked for. If you are in "secured" housing, the cash benefit is increased to 145. 00 but you have to do "work fare" (trash cleaning, working at Glide busing tables, or alternative work) As of September 1 2018 the hours worked have been reduced from 24 hours per month to 12 hours, however food stamp (SNAP) recipients between the the age of 18 through 49 without children will have to work 20 hours per week, 80 hours per month in order to obtain the average benefit of 195.00 per month.
