ID's and Driver Licenses are mailed to you directly from Sacramento. They arrive within 2-4 weeks. You will only receive a receipt for ID or Temporary/Interim license depending on what you are applying for. Do the application 1st before you arrive at a DMV at https://www.edl.dmv.ca.gov/apply/choose-language It will save you 15 to 20 minutes when you arrive at a California DMV.

Thank you but like what I really like to know is if I already did the application... when I arrive at the dmv will I have to wait all day or it'll take less than 2 hours?
