They will let you in to be with your cat, if you have to euthanize him. We just had to put my Mom's 15-year old Chihuahua to sleep there on 1/3/2021. They were very caring and understanding. However, I also thought that service, like all their services, was expensive. If cost is a concern at all and you know your cat will need to be euthanized, I suggest you call a few places and find out their policies and prices. Our regular vet is ABC Hospital in San Marcos. Also, Dr. Ichord in San Marcos is very caring and very good. I personally had to put my cat and dog down there on the same weekend. It was a traumatic and unexpected situation that they handled in a very caring and gentle manner. Any of these 3 places are very good. Cost is probably the only difference between them. Also, there are mobile services, so your pet can remain comfortably at home. I don't know their cost, but I like that idea if you know ahead of time that it's your pet's time. Much sympathy to you.
I don't believe they let you stay with your animal. They come and get them from the vehicle here. I do believe that you can look into at home euthanasia if you are interested. I did that with one of my cats a couple years ago. It was more relaxing for the animal.
