I have never known the checkout line to take 5 minutes. That is based on random visits though, not any real attempt at data gathering.
They are very good about calling for extra checkers when needed too

It's a small market, so even at it's busiest, the lines are very short. So yes, regardless of the time of day, your wait will be very short in the checkout line.
