3000 gram max and 2s lipo only If you can get your 1/8th to meet those requirements, you're good to go
... (Continuing the "2 more things" comment) Also, nowadays there are actual mechanical limited-slip differentials that are amazingly scaled down versions of the ones you would find in full size cars and trucks😮! Controllers with telemetry, Formula 1-style (BTW, I am a Formula 1 connoisseur who has followed the sport since I was 5, and I've never missed a Grand Prix since, & I've been fortunate enough to have gone & experienced the United States Grand Prix at the Circuit of the Americas in Austin, TX twice now), anyway, yeah, I was blown away to see that modern-day R/C cars have the energy and tech to send telemetry data to the driver about battery life, etc., gone are the days of fiberglass chassis, with the best option being a graphite chassis! Now all I see are carbon-fiber chassis (another F1 connection), & I was just left speechless as I flipped through the pages. AND 2: VERY IMPORTANT, SDRC has their address set as 8575 Production Ave, but in actuality it's 8725 in the pics.
No more 1/8 scale at SDRC.... I also have my 1/8 buggy but can't use it on the track. Its too dangerous on such a small track. Still fun, but we want to make it safe for the kids too ya know. Sometimes, and I stress "sometimes" they will have an 1/8 scale class for racing only. If there is enough interest.
Thanks Edgar, I will bring my 1/8 Scale and my boy to go there and have fun on the track. 😁
I went there and i saw some 1/8 that might in open class racing mixing with other scale and different kind of vehicle.
