I own a 1994 32' BHM/ABC hardtop Cruiser. I noticed a "slotted hole" on the port side keel about 18"
forward of the rudder shoe that I never noticed before........What is its function and can the boat be launched as is or should it be "plugged"?

It's a water intake for shaft tube. You can launch it
