Yes, it's younger person friendly. Degree of difficulty is relative and varies with route chosen.

We have gone with kids ranging in ages from 3-9. We went later in the day when it's not as hot. Lots of hills with diet roads, bring water for them and be ready to carry it for them.

Yes it is! My kids love to go, and they are 8 and 10 years old. It is safe for babies too, (with stroller )

Yes it is. However I would not recommend summertime hikes with the young ones as there is not much shade except at the end (or beginning) depending on which end of the loop you start from.
