Sorry to correct you, Alberto, but... Children under age 17 requires a accompanying parent or guardian to attend R performances. 25 years and under must show ID for R rated performances.
As long as you are accompanied by an adult, a minor can go in and watch a rated R film, you must be 18+ to be able to purchase a rated R movie ticket
