So if it is jewelry, silver flatware, etc, an ID is needed. ID Not Needed: No ID is needed for selling any silver bullion in any form. The answer depends on the situation. Do you have silver jewelry, or bullion? Bullion is bars, coins, rounds. You can sell precious metal bullion with out an ID because that is not personal property.
