I was here recently at the Bloomsday Trade show, and I noticed people were bringing their own water bottles. This, however was just this event, so I am given to deduce it depends on the event.
Water bottles only but, they do not search your bags. Theres a cafeteria, coffee shop and a snack bar on the 2nd floor.

I work at the convention center at it does depend on the type of the event that is going on.
I think it depends on the individual event. I was allowed to but it was more of a trad show.
