Lilac City Comicon is your closest bet. It's more comic focused but you'll find a lot of fun people and talented artists.
What Jim said. If you want an anime convention specifically, i believe cour d'Alene has one. If you onw here, you have to prove such a thing would be profitable. It costs a lot to do any convention, and people cant just throw their money in expecting it to happen often.
