If someone has a low pain tolerance but wants to get their ears pierced, could numbing cream be used during the process?

Numbing creams can work in other applications, but because piercings penetrate past the surface of the skin, topical numbing creams are rather pointless for piercings. We're also wary of our clients having potential reactions to new products, so we don't suggest them. Thankfully ear piercings aren't that bad and our piercers are all as gentle as they can be, so you'll be just fine!

I would call them and ask. Their piercer is extremely knowledgable and only wants you to have they very best experience. They are great about answering questions and making you feel really comfortable.

It actually doesn't hurt that much (at least for the ears). My 5 YO daughter said it "tickled".
