We've had 2 birthday parties at this park and we reserved through Vista parks and recreation both times. I believe it's required.
You have to have a permit, it's not first come first served, and there are always bookings at this park for weekend parties.
It's a public park, I believe it would be first come first pick. When in doubt check with Parks and recreation.
