Prices vary widely and based on supply and demand you may have a book that's in brand new condition that costs $30 new and they might only offer $7 or even refused to take it at all and that's because the demand for that book is low not just in the store but online other books may be worn but if the demand is high the price can be much higher. I use it as a way to get rid of books that have built up that I'm no longer using and to unload them quickly.
