How can you ask with the noise, water spraying without being rude? It should go without saying. They are an intragal part of a car and do get dirty. Soaking them down before folding in should be normal.

I would just ask, they're all friendly over there. Great dispositions with with the customers

Try leaving your window rolled down as you pull into the entrance of the car wash so they can hear you. It's not rude to ask. As to them being an integral part of the car, mine always seem to get sprayed clean going through - much cleaner than the inside of my windshield (which is also an integral part of my vehicle, but not something I expect to be included in a standard car wash).

I would make a scrubbing motion (Think wax on, wax off) and then point to the mirror. I'm sure the wash attendants would understand that.
